Winning Workplaces: Better for People - Better for Business

Web Polls

February 2007 | Current Webpolls

The Possibility for Naps

In our first February poll, 60 percent of respondents said their boss would let them take a nap at work if he or she knew it would improve their performance. The remaining 40 percent said that naps at work were a losing proposition for their employer.

It depends if it is paid or unpaid. A quick nap during a break or meal period is fine. I could not afford a nap during work time.

Performance Review Frequency

In our second February Web Poll, the vast majority of respondents (65 percent) reported that their employers conduct employee reviews on an annual basis. The remaining responses were split evenly among nearly 12 percent of respondents, who reported that their organizations conduct semi-annual, quarterly or "other" frequencies of reviews.
