According to this Hewitt study, changing demographics will lead to an older, more diverse workforce in the next five years. While most companies are concerned about recruiting, few are focusing on the issues of retention or promotion posed by greater diversity. The study asserts that there will be a 29 percent increase in the amount of 45-64 year old people in the workforce by 2010 and a 14 percent increase in those over the age of 65. Hewitt predicts that by 2008, 70 percent of the new labor force entrants will be women and minorities. Among the more notable findings:
