Fortune Small Business and Winning Workplaces Team Up to Select Leaders of Innovative Workplaces
Chicago, October 30, 2002 - Fortune Small Business and Winning Workplaces are teaming up to recognize executives who have created the most innovative and productive workplaces. FSB is the leading magazine dedicated to covering the leaders of small and growing businesses. Winning Workplaces is a not-for-profit organization that helps employers create great workplaces.
FSB and Winning Workplaces are collaborating for an upcoming story featuring the best of today's enlightened leaders.
Combing the country for nominations, FSB and Winning Workplaces are looking for companies where leaders have created tightly knit, intensely loyal workforces. The two organizations are looking for nominations of CEOs and a short description of the company's workplace practices. A panel of FSB editors and the executive of Winning Workplaces will evaluate the nominees and select the winners, who will be profiled in the magazine.
"Young, growing companies are the cradle for creative workplace practices, thanks to entrepreneurs who are better educated and more experienced than in the past," says Ellyn Spragins, Editor-at-Large for Fortune Small Business. "Together with Winning Workplaces, we look forward to celebrating these leaders' accomplishments."
"We're excited about the opportunity to work with Fortune Small Business, a leader in business media, in recognizing the best leaders in small and midsize organizations," says Jill Wine-Banks, CEO of Winning Workplaces. "We hope that by highlighting the best in people practices we will demonstrate what leaders of other small businesses can do to make their organizations great workplaces and emphasize the resulting economic improvement."
Nominations for leading CEOs are being taken at info@winningworkplaces.org or editor@fsb.com. Please include the CEO's or team leader's and company's name, number of employees, the company's industry, contact information and a short description of how your nominee has increased worker loyalty and productivity.
